Summer Sparks: Igniting Connections with Your Teen
Summer is here. Though it’s a perfect time to relax from such a busy winter, it’s a perfect time to build into intentionality with a fresh start. In this podcast, I look at various activities you can do on a daily basis to build into your children. Remember, it’s not just the big moments that create the memories, but it’s also the little moments that create the biggest impact. Here’s a concise version: 1. **Quality Time** *Scripture:* "Let your conversation be always full of grace..." - Colossians 4:6 *Reason:* Summer offers relaxed opportunities for meaningful discussions with your teen. 2. **Building Relationships** *Scripture:* "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger..." - Ephesians 6:4 *Reason:* Strengthen bonds through quality time and nurturing guidance. 3. **Encouraging Growth** *Scripture:* "Train up a child in the way he should go..." - Proverbs 22:6 *Reason:* Support your teen’s exploration of new hobbies and skills. 4. **Creating Memories** *Scripture:* "This is the day that the Lord has made..." - Psalm 118:24 *Reason:* Engage in joyful activities to foster gratitude for shared moments. 5. **Fostering Spiritual Growth** *Scripture:* "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." - James 4:8 *Reason:* Use summer for spiritual growth through family activities and devotionals. These tips are just some of what you can do to make the summer count, enjoy each moment, for it is fleeting.
